  1. "There is no time limit on your growing old". Hey JK would'nt it be great to reverse the process, so that some time in the future a bloke would no longer qualify, being too young.
  2. Here Here JV, I think you have shown in the past what Orbx needs to do to continue to provide us with it's products, please don't be diverted by all this.
  3. zoran, a correction if I may. 65 is not old, I'm almost 69 and feel like chasing 35 year old females (could'nt catch them, but feel like the case), a good thought "When you die, die young, as late as possible"
  4. Thank you Jay.
  5. Hello again to all, Derek, I had a look at the ibis ET from Art Hobbies, a lovely glider, but have settled on the Mistique 2.9m from Horison Hobbies. It's a 2.9 meter span electric glider with cambering wing giving a nice slow thermaling speed and a good fast tween thermal speed, with the advantage of power for aerobatics and climb power in that all too frequent sinking air. I'm expecting it next week so wil post some pictures of the assembly as it progresses.
  6. Hard to know the proper words for this generosity, thank you John, another nice gift for those of us who have completed their lifes work.
  7. My system OC as follows, see system specs in sig. CPU Ratio x46 Base Clock 100 (MHz) = 4.6 gig OC CPU IO V 1.35v CPU SA .93v CPU PLL 1.8v PCH 1.05v Runs a treat.
  8. Looking forward to your vids Derek
  9. Hi All, I would like to encourage all who smoke to stop, as some of you may recall, I lost my wife in July 2011 due to COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Emphasema, brought about by years of continuous smoking. You are supposed to grow old together not by yourself, please beleive me, it is the worst thing to lose your lifes partner. Smoking is almost always the cause of the above desease. Sorry to be blunt in this, but please please think of your loved ones and QUIT. Thank you for reading.
  10. Used to Simmo many years ago, I was fortunate enough to be allowed to take control in a C 206 on the Gold Coast in Queensland a few years back, brought back old memories.
  11. The perfect landing is when the aircraft stalls about one foot above the ground, it's in fact more important when water landing. Also the worst conditions for a water landing is when it is glassy smooth, it becomes difficult to judge the height above the water, much easier when it's a little choppy.
  12. Thanks Guys, here are my other two current planes, Nemesis Racer and Piper Cub (no cowl on the cub in these pics). http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2013/01/23/faUeE.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2013/01/23/LUqZ5.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2013/01/23/xSgbW.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2013/01/23/985jr.jpg The Nemesis is all electric and I am most impressed with the quality and power of the motors now and the LiPo batteries, it's a whole new world of RC flying, Cub has a .61 Cu Inch (10cc) 4 stroke.. Next project look into a high quality electric powered glider.
  13. Looks to me like he tried a water landing with the gear down, maybe it came down after the flip but I dout it.
  14. Great stuff Ed thank you, took me back to my flying days.
  15. You will never regret it, well done, from now on a healthier life and lots on money to give Orbx.
