  1. G'day, Hi, I was just wondering if there is a problem with the forums. I don't fall by here all that often, as the FTX/Orbx stuff that I have bought have for the most part worked just fine. But with all the recent questions and troubles with the "integration" and the server trouble, I visit more often. I've recently noticed that a number of critical posts relating to that very problem have disappeared for no apparent reason. None of them, when I read them, were rude, insulting, or attacks of a personal nature, yet they vanished. I was interested, myself, in why that should be? Moderators should not be censors, my view. Cheers, Fritz
  2. Fair enough, gentlemen. Slap my hand. I certainly had no wish to create trouble or be "publicly cranky". I apologise to all the members. No more will be heard from me. Mind how you go, Fritz
  3. Hey, I respect your rights. C'mon, I just want to shift some stuff around. And y'all still haven't answered my query, just tried to get away with refering to the last line. Shame on you. EDIT: Hey J, I wasn't paying attention. Howgozit? I understand completely about ownership, I expressed myself poorly. Sorry. Still and all, what happened in the community that you should feel threatened by what I propose to do? I won't sell it, I am not a thief, I asked if I could I have permission to use files that are included in my license. To do that I am asked to join your "team". No thanks, for the reasons stated above. Be good, Fritz
  4. Well, excuse me, please. I don't think it's clear at all. When I began this thread I explained what I was doing, and with what, and asked for some permissions and for why. I was excited and interested. One other new poster echoed my question and we both got the "company line". Which was basically mumbo-jumbo about legal bullshit which has no bearing on my question: To wit: "All I would like to do is use the elements that are contained in the product that I paid for to create some small sceneries that I would share with other owners of PNW. (If you didn’t own PNW there wouldn’t be much point in trying to use scenery that wouldn’t even show up, you would have to agree.) So I do not understand the position of FTX vis à vis the use of their object libraries to create other sceneries or parts of sceneries for the use of other owners of FTX products. Make no sense to me. I thought that we were all in this business of illusion together. All of the sceneries would of course be freeware, keeping with the tradition of FS." Your stuff is more than good, make no mistake. I enjoy them immensly. You and everyone involved are "rickity all through", if you catch my meaning, but I don't want to "join your team". You would start telling me what to do, ya know it? Set "standards" and arrythang. Pass tests and...sheeeeeeeschech. Hang about... If you have no more to say, that's fine and dandy, I got it. No hard feelings at all on my side, I just don't understand what you are trying to achieve. Officially. (sorry, could not resist.) All the best and may life smile upon you, Fritz
  5. Nah, I don't need to reread the EULA, you need to rewrite it. My view, of course. May life smile, Fritz P.S. I hereby apply to become a member of the team. Thanks. F
  6. G'day, So. I’m still terribly new at all of this so it’s for sure that I don’t understand all of the evolution of legal language that tells me that I do not own what I have paid for and that it is illegal to assume so. So. The Pacific North West scenery package is astounding, as we continue to discover. (Gad, you can even do ‘I Follow Roadsâ€, if you have a good highway map, ya know it?) With all that flying around and the noting down of coordinates for later exploration, sooner or later you find a place that has not yet been developed and decide to have a look around. So you think that that would be a nice place for a “mining camp, “seaplane baseâ€, “shipwreckâ€, “Herb’s Golden Garterâ€, (Ya do remember Herb’s?), or whatever you could make using the things that you have paid for. When I purchased PNW, I assumed that I then was the owner of that product. And all its bits and pieces. I did not buy a divisible thing. I paid for it and I own all of it. I can be an explorer and draw maps. I can establish towns and honky-tonks, I can tell tales. It’s so very very, spiffy, ya know it? All I would like to do is use the elements that are contained in the product that I paid for to create some small sceneries that I would share with other owners of PNW. All of the sceneries would of course be freeware, keeping with the tradition of FS. I just thought y’all might like a little base at Tofino Harbour and Teardrop Landing. (Igod, you need Tongass X as well.!!) Keep the faith, Fritz
