  1. You can always get backup software (I use the free version of Crashplan) and back up your config files (or anything else) to a internal/external hard drive, network share or the cloud with version history. Comes in very handy when you make a mistake updating a config file and you want to go back. Cheers, Matt.
  2. Hi all, Ed has explained exactly what the issue is. The root cause needs to be identified, a fix needs to be found, the fix needs to be implemented, the fix needs to be tested and validated by the development team, then the fix needs to be validated by the beta team. The testing includes a number of scenarios and combinations of products and simulators - and the team members are in multiple timezones. Thanks, Matt.
  3. I have fond memories of Wagga Wagga and Albury from the old Air Australia days. For YBSU - you might want to check this link out:
  4. I have removed a number of posts in this topic. Please read the forum rules. There are a variety of reasons moderators do what they do. Thanks, Matt.
  5. Hi Jim, I think you will find that he was referring to the mindset to be in when designing your next PC. Design for the future and the present will take care of itself. You also might have missed this: Cheers, Matt.
  6. Hi Terry, Thanks for the feedback! We'll certainly look into adding this functionality. Cheers, Matt.
  7. The FSX Registry Utility tool should resolve your issue: Cheers, Matt. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

  10. Great photos! We had chinooks flying very low over our school when I was a kid. Part of the fun of the school being right next to an army base. They are awesome aircraft!! Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  11. I moved back to FSX purely for the FSL A320. Looking forward to getting back to Prepar3D. 3.4 looks like a good step forward.
  12. Recommend Crashplan (it's free) to backup the necessary folders. That way you'll also have version history. I simply select my whole FSX folder and any config folders. Cheers, Matt.
  13. Guys... Let's not get personal here. Orbx has a history of getting it right when things don't go as planned. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  14. This restriction seems reasonable to me and hits the mark on my usage of the scenery.
  15. Makes sense to me: 1993 – Flight Simulator 5.0 1995 – Flight Simulator 5.1 1996 – Flight Simulator 95 1997 – Flight Simulator 98 1999 – Flight Simulator 2000 2001 – Flight Simulator 2002 2003 – Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight 2006 – Flight Simulator X With the possible exception of 5.1 (I can't remember that far back), we were paying for a new version of a Flight Sim quite regularly, until MS development ceased. It's back to the good old times where we get a modern sim, but now at a reduced retail price compared to how much the new versions used to cost. Cheers.
