Hello everyone
I have been critical in the past of the performance of YSCB although I have always meant no disrespect to anyone here especially Hugh.  I have had the occassional comment to make to John in the forums and in private as well but I would like to give credit to those due with the performance patch for YSCB.  I have a very usable airfield now with the most complex aircraft in my hanger.  Just did a lap in the Citation Mustang and had frames mostly mid 20's until approach and had the very odd dip in the mid to late teens on final rwy 35. This was with the entire field polys enabled static aircraft and 16%ai and autogen normal.
As some additional feedback - although YSCB is very usable I still feel something is a little off on approach to rwy 35.  As you fly over the drainage ditch I got momentary drop down to about 12fps but it quickly recovered and I landed with about 22fps which is fine.  It is interesting that it is before you get to the field where you would expect the biggest hit to frames that this area near the drainage ditch is the heaviest impact on my system.  It was also the heart breaker area pre the patch.
This is by no way a criticism just an observation should Hugh or anyone else involved in the development wish to take a look.  I will not be hamstrung if nothing changes but wanted to include my feedback pure and without any malice.

I think it is jut the airport and the detail around it loading. Have you tried the native APX in the control panel?

Do you mean default fsx apx no gound polys?  If so no, wont I drop quality if I do this?

Yes it will but you should get a lot more frames. Just give it a try and let me know how you go.

Just gave it a shot, installed it then the newest libraries.

As a test I set the Default FSX APX w/no Static Airliners, then everything else to either low or off, and no AI, just to get a baseline. Then fired up FSX and selected the PMDG JS4100 which is more demanding on my rig than even their 747 or the LDS767.

Anyways, once the flight loaded I did a quick circuit around the field and didn't get FPS lower than 30FPS, but mostly in the mid 30's to low 40's, and it was MUCH smoother than prior with no stutters from the textures always trying to load.

Now, I can go back in and start selecting more options since their seems to be a lot more overhead, like the Static airliners, light poles, ground service equipment/people, etc.

Thanks again for all the hard work and the patch, it's really nice to be able to fly any a/c into this airport without it locking up my rig.  ;D

And if I may add... turn off the frame counter!  I was sure I was getting mid 20's with everything maxxed out because it looked smooth, then I turned it on and discovered it was actually 16-20 with a quick dip to 12 on final to R35.  Now that testing is done, my counter is definitely staying off unless I can actually see jumpiness in fps.

Right then Hugh,
I am sure you can remember my post at how disappointed I was with YSCB FPS, to a point I never use it nor YMML as I bought them both to be used together.

Well let me say right here, that after the patch I've just did a fly around with static aircraft and people flow on and Polys off.

I want to thank you very much indeed for you work on this patch my FPS never dropped below the locked 30, the static aircraft look amazing and the people flow working on them is a hole new level, stunning, I will always voice my concerns but I want also to be one of the first to say what a fantastic job you have done and now I can enjoy YSCB.

Hugh, i've been flying around your airport a lot on and off today enjoying the newly found performance increase, but i've been noticing something funny with one group of trees. When your approaching runway 35, off to the right in the distance there is a group of trees that seem to shimmer a lot, however none of the other trees in the scenery or area for that matter shimmer. They were like that as well pre-patch but I never though to mention it. Is there a special texture for that group of trees I can check to see if it has mip maps since I cant imagine why those trees are shimmering and none of the other ones are? I can post a screen if you want showing exactly which tree group I am talking about.

BTW, the airport is working so well now, its a pleasure to fly there. Really loving all the static airliners as well with the people.
