Burgers At The Spruce Goose Cafe.

This airport is well known in the PNW pilot community as the home of the Spruce Goose Cafe, one of the the best spots around for a $100 hamburger; or better yet, one of their legendary slices of pie! Also located on the field is the Port Townsend Aero Museum (home to a wide variety of classic GA aircraft), Tailspin Tommy's maintenance shop, and a multitude of hangars built over the last 70 years - each with its own unique character.

In fact, that's what makes J-Co (as the locals call it) so special: it's character. This is an airport absolutely brimming with personality; where classic aircraft are the rule instead of the exception, hangar stories are still told with gusto, and the mystique of aviation hangs heavy in the air. It is a pilot's airport - the place to go for fly-in BBQs in the summer, a warm cup of clam chowder in the winter, and at all times, a place to meet friendly folks who share your passion for aviation. Great stuff. I prepaid on this prolly about an hour before it was released as it seems. Couldnt hold out anymore after so many great screenshots.

Amazing,

I have been hanging around here at ORBX for a long time and have seen a steady growth in expertise and talent. I have liked almost every release but love Jefferson County. There is an incredible amount of content with trash trailer courts, white sandy beaches and all. The performance level is quite good too considering all the extremely dense autogen. Scott, you should be proud of what you have accomplished! It's hard to believe that this is your first project. J van E wrote about being torn between two lovers (NZSI and PNW), I seem to be between quite a few in both PNW and Australia. However, in my opinion the last two airport releases, S43 Harvey Field and 0S9 Jefferson County are the very best smaller airports released by ORBX anywhere. I don't know which one is best, although 0S9 seems to have the performance edge, but S43 has so much action going on. I have no idea at this point where to have my home base.

Have to agree with Stephen, I've also picked up both Harvey and Jefferson and both are absolutely amazing! Am going to have huge fun flying in the PNW for a long while to come.

This is my home airport for real flight. ORBX captured the spirit in a way that defies description. Totally stunning. This is where fantasy and reality merged for me (learned to fly and bought a plane!), at 0S9, and this release further confuses the boundary in my mind between the two, if there is one. Perfect!! Bravo!!!
