Available for immediate download is FTX Pacifc Northwest Service Pack PNW.005, which is a cumulative patch meaning it combines the content of all previous Pacific Northwest patches (001 - 004a).

　
NOTE: Please Set FTX Central To "North America" before installing this patch!

This patch includes a few new items and a large amount of airport "fine-tuning" throughout the coverage area. It also aligns PNW features with the photoreal areas of new ORBX PNW airport add-ons, like 2W3 Swanson and W16 Monroe, and contains local adjustments to ensure compatibility with the upcoming v3 of FSAddon's Vancouver+. Last but not least it features a new rooftop texture set meant to eliminate "gabled roofs" displaying on industrial buildings outside of ORBX regions while FTX Central is set to "North America".

New and enhanced content:
* new custom models for high-tension powerline pylons (active across all ORBX North America regions)
* updated road and railroad network in various locations and placed additional 3D bridges
* restored missing default FSX models of the Delta Airport Inn and marina east of CYVR
* many minor adjustments to ensure compatibility with FSAddon's VancouverPlus v3
* updated rooftop texture file to deal with "flat gables" on industrial buildings outside of ORBX regions

Edits and bug fixes (check the included User Guide for a complete list):

Installation:
Important: Before you install SP5 make sure you have FTX Central set to "North America"!

Unzip OrbxFTXNABluePNWPatch005.zip and run OrbxFTXNABluePNWPatch005.exe. It should find the correct location of your FSX installation. Once the installation has completed FTXCentral should load automatically, set to "Default FSX"; click on "North America", then "Apply", and exit.

After the installation of sp5 the FTX Central reporting tool is reporting ORBX LIBRARIES VER 120327 March 27th 2012.
Is that the same as the newly released 120328 ? or should I install the newer one ?

This is fabulous, Guys! The run from Arlington to Darrington has changed beyond belief. The roads - the power pylons - the whole character of the valley - even Darrington itself is changed. The whole PNW has to be explored all over again, so there goes the summer! ....well the winter, too for some folks...

I too noticed that there is a subtle change to a few things. Chilliwack airport looks way different, perhaps better prepared for VanX3.

thanks for the kind words. We do put quite a bit of effort into our service packs though it's not always immediately obvious since we can't list all changes. For example, Chris' notes to me regarding his SP5 round of airport enhancements were about three pages long.

Well, I will need to take a few short hops tomorrow to see what I did not see before...maybe as my memory is not as good as it used to be. Will I need the "then and now" images to be able to tell the difference or will it be obvious? I do fly VFR alot, but there is so much to see all the time I am afraid I won't notice the differences.
