Hello all,

The ORBX Migrator Tool is now ready to download.
This tool is the "Linker" and will link up your ORBX installed addons in FSX to P3D. Also included in this release is the latest ORBXLIBS (Version 120328). As new airports are released, this tool will be updated to to include them.

Please note: We have come across a small issue at PAKT and it's parking positions. There is no problem with the runway starts, but the 2 parking positions are incorrectly placing you underground. We are looking into this issue and hope to have it resolved ASAP.

Installation is easy, unzip and run the installer. No need for FTX Central to be set to anything in particular prior to installing. This can also be installed directly over any previously installed SBSLs.

Any issues, please post here http://www.orbxsyste...®-support-forum

Enjoy!

Ed; many thanks, the migrator has worked perfectly.

Small query, can we use it on the airports?

Ian, the Migrator links all Orbx scenery products (regions and airports) released up to today. This means it will link over all regions and every single Orbx airport you have installed into FSX.

Just to confirm, does the Migrator leave copies of the airports in FSX, as well as P3D -- or is this a "one-way trip" to P3D? Thanks.

Yes, it simply links the files needed for P3D. It also installs some files that are unique and specific to some airports into the P3D\Orbx\ folder.

If you were to install an airport after ( and I mean an airport that has already been released-up to 2W3), than yes. Just run the tool (don't worry about Orbxlibs as that is included) and that airport will be linked.
With the new airports coming up (I believe we have 4 coming soon), I will make a small update to the tool which will include these.

Cheers

Question about version 2 of the migration tool, which I understand will move the files to the P3D location. This is the one I am interested in, to move my Orbx files to P3D on my D; drive from my capacity challenged SSD which is my C:. Is it best to wait until this facility is available, or will the migrator cleanup an earlier linked configuration.

You can use this Linket tool for the time being. The Mover tool will actually make changes to the cfg files which will override the linker's settings essentially.

OK guys,

Please excuse my ignorance here...

If I purchase Prepar3d (Getting stronger by the minute) and place it on to a seperate drive from FSX as I have 500gb laying idle do I then have to install all my ORBX addons in there thus having Two copies installed or does the Migrator tool link the FSX installed versions to Prepar3d..effectively telling Prepar3d where to find everything.

Cheers Dave N

That is exactly what the Migrator does, tells P3D where to look.
