Howdy ED,
I'm new to this forums and if this is a repeat question please link me to correct forums. I can't get P3D work with my FSX. During installation I'm getting several Error message "Could Not Find C:\Program Files <x86>\ORBX\ORBX\Scripts\orbx_cpl_ysch.xml" and when I launch FTX Central P3D I'm getting this message "FSX not found at the location pointed to by the Registry or No FSX entry found in the Regeistry." please help.

Sam.

Hi Sam, I am assuming that you have P3D installed?

Cheers,

Hi Ed,

I just realised that I forgot to install YMLT into FSX before running the migrator tool. Is it possible to install it into FSX and then run the migrator again? Or is it possible, given I have done the registry/exe tweak to install YMLT directly into P3D?

Regards, James

You can run the migratory as often as you want to, just make sure that you have everything registry related set to how it should be.

I have mentioned elsewhere, that I am getting an error message, "The Given Key does not appear in the Dictionary".

As a result Oceania does not appear in FTX Central P3D.

The Migrator has run well until now, but do I need a full FTX reinstall of disks into FSX?

With warmest regards,

Ian McPhail

Will this migrator tool fix the error I get when I try to open the "FTX configurator version 8" utility or am I looking at a reinstall of everything first? The error message I get is "No configuration file specified"

Thanks

There is no reason for you to be running FTX configurator. Not sure why you are.

Hello,

I recently bought PNW, on the FTX homepage it states FSX/P3D compatibility, yet when I try installing it into my P3D (where no FSX is present), I can't get it to install without a Migrator or other cheats.
Isn't this P3D compatible out of the box? Bought from flightsimstore, FSS0179200.

Hi Kosta,

I was just about to reply, the dual installers will be available soon for download customers. I should have the first batch out this week (mostly regions) to FSS ;)

HI,

I no longer have FSX on my system (due to a catastrophic crash, after which I can't re-install it). This made me get the Prepar3d Academic version and that is now my simulator.

How do I install ORBX/FTX CD/DVD to P3D if I don't have FSX on my system?

Also how do I install ORBX/FTX downloads that I have into P3D?

I don't see this answered anywhere.

Thanks in anticipation,

John G

Hi Ed,

I does the migration tool work OK for Prepar3d 1.4? Presume so as can't see any other comments on it.

I Have Australian Terrain Expansion pack SP4 on disc plus others which are not dual  : FSX - P3D. Other discs like NZ N&S islands and Brisbane are.

I keep FSX separated on an SSD with it's own OS.  I can link another HD, but not the one with P3D.

My question: Can the migration tool shift to a temporary folder, then be on moved to P3D?

I seem to be having a problem downloading the file.  All I get when I click on either of the links is a pop up window with a Save or Close button -- no download.  Here's a screen shot.  Saving only saves the image in a separate browser tab.

Interestingly by right clicking on the image, saving it, then pasting into a new browser window lets me download the file.  Really strange -- maybe it's Safari that causes that to happen.
